Could you be the next Chair of the SAS Committee?

We are seeking an enthusiastic member of ENT UK who would like to chair the SAS Committee for the organisation. The SAS Committee Chair reports to the Education and Training Committee, chaired by the Director of Education, who can then represent the SAS Group on the Executive Committee of ENT UK.

Applicants for this leadership role must be eager to advocate for the specialty doctors in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery and represent their views on the ENT UK Council.  The incumbent is responsible for organising the SAS Conference (held in non-BACO years) and those elements of BACO that are specifically for the SAS Group. SAS Committee meetings can be held remotely.

Applicants must be ENT UK members and SAS doctors. The individual must be keen to be a voice for SAS doctors within the organisation and represent them on formal committees, thereby helping define the strategic direction of the association.

The role will be appointed after an interview and will be for two years in the first instance. This is an unpaid role.

Please submit your CV and an expression of interest demonstrating suitability for the role (in no more than 500 words) to Janet Stephen, Education and Governance Officer, at Janet@entuk.org by 5pm on Monday 12 September  2022. If you would like more information, please contact Professor Philippa Tostevin at directorofeducation@entuk.org.

ENT UK is committed to creating an inclusive association that promotes and values equality, diversity, and inclusion. Our equality and diversity policy can be found elsewhere on the website. We are keen to hear from a diverse range of enthusiastic and inspiring individuals who can bring their ideas, skills and ambition to this role.
