ENT UK thanks Mr Showkat Mirza

ENT UK wish to thank Mr Showkat Mirza for his work representing the specialty for the last few years as "Chair and Clinical Lead for NHS Digital’s National Casemix Office (NCO) Chapter C, Subchapter CA/CB (Ear, Nose, Mouth, Throat and Neck Disorders and Procedures) Expert Working Group (EWG)."
 
This group worked on improving tariffs for our procedures and was very important in providing good clinical representation.
 
We are pleased that Mr Tim Mitchell has kindly agreed to take on this important role for our specialty and we are sure Tim will continue to represent us well as we increasingly find that many procedures which were previously done in an in-patient setting are now being performed cost effectively in outpatient clinics with great patient benefit.
