Free Royal College of Anaesthetists and PQIP webinar on Thursday 5 May

On Thursday 5 May at 1pm, there will be a one-hour free webinar hosted by the Royal College of Anaesthetists and the Perioperative Quality Improvement Programme (PQIP) to support your local efforts in helping your patients to DrEaM (DRink, EAt, and Mobilise) within 24 hours of surgery.

DrEaMing has recently been introduced as an NHSEI CQUIN, which means that your hospital is now financially incentivised to support at least 60% of eligible patients to DrEaM within 24 hours. Additionally, a research paper based on PQIP data, supporting the clinical and operational benefits of DrEaMing, will be published in the British Journal of Anaesthesia in the next few weeks.

The webinar will cover:

  • why DrEaMing is good for patients
  • the NHSEI CQUIN
  • supporting each other: A collaborative approach to DrEaMing
  • experience of a local DrEaMing Collaborative
  • barriers and facilitators to DrEaMing
  • the patient perspective.
