DESCRIPTION:AboutThis year’s Global Health conference is taking place as a webinar on Friday, November 18th. The event aims to raise awareness of the significant health inequalities that exist globally and aims to encourage trainees and young consultants to engage in global health. We have a fantastic programme this year featuring sessions on Paediatrics, Politics and Sustainability, Head & Neck cancer and Research in global health with free paper presentations and the ENT UK GH Prize.\n\nThis popular annual event is held online to allow contributions and attendance from across the globe, enabling diversity and inclusion and ensuring the conference reflects many stakeholders in this vitally important field. \n\nThis event is aimed at anyone interested in global health. All are welcome, and the conference will be a rewarding opportunity for ENT healthcare practitioners at all levels, from senior clinicians with vast experience to trainees and students seeking to get involved in global health. \n\nENT global health activities, partnerships, initiatives and research will be discussed and we anticipate considerable international participation. We have speakers from several different countries including India, Ethiopia, South Africa, Ukraine, USA and Australia. Each session will have a panel discussion and debate will be encouraged throughout the day. \n\nProgrammeThe programme will feature speakers from around the world, exploring topics essential to understanding global health in 2022. We are excited to announce that this year’s conference will feature three new, designated sections covering ‘Global Health: Politics and Sustainability’, ‘Global Health: Head and Neck’, and ‘Global Health: Paediatric ENT’. Each session throughout the day will feature a panel debate, with audience participation encouraged. \n\nThe programme will also feature free-paper presentations, with a prize for the best paper judged by Zoe Mullen, editor of The Lancet Global Health. The presentations represent a fantastic opportunity to showcase research conducted in or relevant to care delivery in low-resource environments.   \n\nFull Programme\n\n \n\nThe beneficiaries of the ENT UK Global Health Fund 2022 will also be announced at the conference. An ENT UK Global Health prize of £200 will be awarded to the best paper and presentation, as judged by Zoe Mullan, editor of The Lancet Global Health.\n\n \n\n \n\n
