National Selection for ENT StR recruitment has been postponed!

The National Selection dates for ENT StR recruitment for England and Scotland have been changed at the request of Health Education England because the original dates (7th and 8th April 2016) coincided with one day of the planned English junior doctors strikes.

The new dates for National Selection are the 3rd and 4th May 2016, with the Selection Process commencing at 10am on 3rd, finishing around 4pm on the 4th May, in Leeds. Please note Monday 2nd May is a public holiday.

Whilst we had a full complement of interviewers for the original dates, not all of these have been able to change their arrangements to attend the new dates. If you are a consultant in England or Scotland Please would you consider volunteering as an interviewer? If you are able to help then please email May Teng at HEE Yorkshire and Humber - May.Teng@yh.hee.nhs.uk and please copy your email to Helen Cruickshank who is the National Selection Lead for this year's interviews - Helen.Cruickshank@midyorks.nhs.uk. Interviewers should normally be current Consultants in Otolaryngology in England or Scotland and should have undertaken Equality and Diversity Training in the last 3 years.

Please note Helen is on leave currently so if you have any questions then please email Jeremy.Davis@nhs.net.

The 6 week notice deadline that most Trusts require for leave is next Tuesday 22nd March so please act quickly if you are able to help. Expenses are usually paid by your local LETB or Health Board.
