The National Consultant Information Programme (NCIP)

The National Consultant Information Programme (NCIP) is a secure online portal providing NHS consultants with a single point of access to their individual outcomes data, covering their whole practice. This allows them to review their clinical activity and patient outcomes against local and national benchmarks, improving patient safety, supporting quality improvement, and providing evidence during clinical appraisal and revalidation. Professor Sir Norman Williams, Chair of NCIP, recently presented to the ENT UK council meeting who were supportive of the tool.
